How to Assemble Your Locket
Step 1: Choose a Floating Charm Locket. The lockets are about 3/16" thick with glass on each side. They have a hinged opening, are held tightly closed with magnets. The charms sandwich in the locket between two pieces of glass. The number of floating charms that will fit in a locket will vary depending on the locket you choose.
- 30mm Large Round Lockets - 6 to 8 Charms
- 25mm Medium Round Lockets - 4 to 5 Charms
- Regular Heart Lockets - 5 to 6 Charms
- Curved Heart Lockets - 4 to 6 Charms
- Vintage Heart Locket - 4 to 5 Charms
- Rounded Heart Lockets - 6 to 8 Charms
All of our floating lockets are made from high quality stainless steel and will not tarnish. The gold and rose color lockets made fade in color slightly over time. Many of the other online retailers of similar products are selling plated alloy lockets which easily tarnish.
Step 2: Fill your locket with floating charms. We have over 1,100 charms to choose from, so you can create a unique personalized piece of jewelry. Most of the charms average about 1/4" in size and are between 1/16" and 1/8" thick.
Step 3: Select a chain for your locket. We carry both standard chains, and chains that can accommodate optional clip-on or o-ring charms. All the chains are available in various lengths and are stainless steel.
Step 4: Personalize your floating charm locket with optional accessories including back plates, clip-on charms, and o-ring charms.
Other Important Information
Our floating charm lockets are made from glass and should be treated carefully. The lockets should not be exposed to water, lotions, or perfumes. To clean the lockets, we recommend using a jewelry cloth (dry or slightly damp). Do not use harsh chemicals or jewelry cleaners.
Floating charm lockets are not made for children under the age of 10. The lockets are made of glass. The charms are tiny and can present a choking hazard for very small children.
